The present review summarizes the epidemiology and diagnosis of abnormal uterine bleeding, with a focus on the safety, efficacy and tolerability of norethisterone/norethisterone acetate in abnormal uterine bleeding management, as well as a case of abnormal uterine bleeding in a 40-year-old woman, who was treated with NETA tablets.
